November 5.2024WASHINGTON -A federal court today issued a significant ruling in alawsuit brought by the Natural Products Association (NPA) against theFood and Drug Administration (FDA) requesting that the agency ceaseits unlawful retroactive application of the Food, Drug, and CosmeticAct against Nicotinamide Mononucleotide (NMN). The Court grantedNPA's request and issued a joint motion to stay the case, meaning theFDA will not be permitted to pursue unauthorized punitive anddisciplinary measures of NMN products during the stay. Additionallythe Court requires the FDA to respond to the NPA's citizen petition.
This is a monumental victory for NPA, our members, and Americanconsumers.
